On December 26, the Ordos Laboratory held the 2024 Annual Meeting for the Leadership Team and Chief Scientists to report on their work and integrity. The meeting comprehensively reviewed the achievements of the past year, laying a foundation for setting development goals and plans for 2025. Professor Wei Fei, Director of the Ordos Laboratory and a professor at Tsinghua University, presided over the meeting. Jia Rujing, Party Member and Deputy Director of the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, attended and delivered a speech. Also present were representatives from relevant departments of the Municipal Organization Department, Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Municipal Establishment Office, Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, as well as members of the laboratory's leadership team, chief scientists, heads of functional departments, and employee representatives.

At the meeting, three members of the leadership team and two chief scientists presented their work and integrity reports for 2024. A joint assessment panel, led by the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau and including members from the Municipal Organization Department, Municipal Establishment Office, Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and the laboratory's evaluation committee, conducted assessments on the political quality, leadership capabilities, work performance, teamwork, and integrity of the reporting personnel.

Jia Rujing fully affirmed and highly praised the laboratory's achievements in the past year. He emphasized that Ordos City is intensifying its efforts in technological innovation to build a city that applies new productive forces. He expressed hope that the laboratory would seize the opportunity, fully leverage its role as a pioneer in technological innovation, focus on project advancement, achievement transformation, talent recruitment, and platform construction, and push forward with full strength. He also looked forward to greater accomplishments in promoting the construction of national-level innovation platforms.

Wei Fei stated that in 2024, under the strong leadership and substantial investment of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and with the strong support of relevant departments including the Municipal Organization Department, Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Municipal Establishment Office, and Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the laboratory has achieved significant results. In 2025, the laboratory will continue to uphold the innovative spirit of "pursuing excellence", focusing on four major research directions: new coal chemical industry, green energy, industrial thermal energy storage, and large-scale preparation of new materials. The laboratory will accelerate the application of achievements and build a first-class domestic and internationally advanced scientific innovation platform in the energy sector.

This meeting not only summarized the work of the past year but also served as a planning and mobilization for future development. The Ordos Laboratory will continue to collaborate with all parties to contribute to the technological innovation and industrial development of Ordos City and even the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
